Gengar has recently been announced as the newest addition to the Pokken Tournament roster. Pokken, a fighting game based around the all-too familiar characters in all of our Pokedexes, is a collaboration between Pokémon and Tekken, known for their popular fighting games. It is currently unknown what Gengar's function will be in-game, or what special moves it may have, but what is known is that Gengar will be alongside other members of the 'Dex such as Lucario, Machamp, and even Suicune. The Pokken game seems to be coming along and turning into an exciting game. What do you all think about Gengar, and about Tekken's involvement in the game?
Well, I suppose you gotta have some special attackers, even in these combat fighting style games. Gengar is an interesting addition, and will probably be one of Machamp's best counters.
I think it will be pretty interesting seeing Gengar in the game, especially with its Mega Evolution. I saw a video with a few of his attacks and they made him pretty versatile. He can move around in the shadows and smack people with his tongue. He can shoot shadow blobs as well. I'm not used to seeing gengar fight like that in 3D though, so its actually kind of terrifying lol.
It'll be interesting with a new type of Pokémon in the game.In the game before we pretty much had basic types like electric, psychic, water and obviously fighting types. It'll be nice to see a more unusual Pokémon in the game!
Woah, Gengar?! That's crazy, I would have never thought a ghost type Pokémon like that would make it into the game. It'd be nice to see how they incorporate it's immunity to fighting/normal type moves and it's ability to Levitate. I don't think they'll put that immunity in the game, but if they did, Gengar is already OP.
I'M IN THE POKKEN GAME?!?!?! No but seriously, this is cool. Like you wouldn't expect a special attacker to participate a fisticuffs tournament, haha. I want this game a lot more now, please let it be available to me.
I'm super excited for Gengar! It has such an interesting fighting style in comparison to some other Pokémon who just deal jabs and kicks. I mean the thing uses its tongue for goodness's sake.
